Welcome to your new community. Priors Hall Park is a flourishing new development that will, upon completion, cover 907 acres. This hub is already filled with green spaces and local amenities. There's a local café where adults can grab a coffee and a beautiful amphitheatre in which to socialise with friends. When it comes to exercise, there are play areas dotted around the development where little ones can burn off some energy, as well as sports pitches that are ideal for a friendly game of football.
Taking time out
While there are ample facilities to keep everyone happy on and around the development, Priors Hall Park is also close to a number of green spaces.
Popular spots include King’s Wood Nature Reserve, which is just a 15-minute drive from Priors Hall Park and a beautiful lasting legacy of the medieval Rockingham Forest. Here, you'll find over 250 species of plants, plus a wide array of birdlife – see if you can spot the different types of woodpecker during a visit here!
Corby Central Park and Boating Lake is another popular spot that's close by. It offers a sensory garden, picnic area and pavilion.
A little further out, you'll find East Carlton Country Park. These 102 acres of parks and woodland are around 10 miles from the housing development and offer a playground and ducks to feed in a peaceful setting. There's also a dinosaur hunt here that will keep the whole family entertained.
If you want to step back in time, Kirby Hall and Deene Park is a seven-minute drive away. King James I was a frequent visitor to the hall and there are exhibitions that showcase what it would have looked like in Jacobean times.
A little further afield, Rutland Water Country Park is just under 18 miles from Priors Hall Park. Set within 4,200 acres of countryside, there are several walks and trails to try here. Or you might want to hop on two wheels and follow the cycling routes. You can also do a spot of fishing or try your hand at some watersports, from canoeing to sailing.
